Best practice at Meoncross

Pupils:
Develop every pupil’s self-worth and competence.
Nurture and care within a reassuring, purposeful   environment.
Foster the social, moral and spiritual growth of each pupil.
Encourage a spirit both of community and individual   responsibility. Good citizenship within a school encourages   high personal standards.
Promote excellence but deal sensitively with the needs of   the less able.

Parents:
Regular communication with 3 sets of reports each year and 3 parents’ evenings at most levels of the   school.
Positive feedback to parents on what children know and can do.
Highlight pupils’ strengths with comment and assistance on areas which require further development.
Build and encourage the partnership with home.
Use the vehicle of a 2-weekly newsletter to outline events in the life of the school.
