World Book Day spectacular!

The classrooms were brimming with Oompa Loompas and Mad Hatters, with a sprinkling of Where’s Wallies and a spoonful of Mary Poppins, as Meoncross Lower School and Nursery pupils celebrated World Book Day in spectacular style.

The day was jammed packed with Literary lessons including origami bookworm, book title charades and literary snowballs. Children designed book tokens for a competition, and wrote wacky stories, and the library was packed out all day with eager readers grabbing a copy of their favourite book.

This is a favourite day in the Lower School calendar as children from Nursery to Year 6 put so much time and effort into their costumes, to bring their favourite literary characters to life.
