Meoncross is an independent, co-educational, day school for pupils from Nursery to Sixth Form. We look to exploit every opportunity to work together as one school and see ourselves as one family; that warm family feel is almost tangible in the relationships between staff, parents and pupils and is regularly commented on by visitors seeing Meoncross for the first time.
We believe that a Meoncross child, under our central tenet of Striving for Excellence, should be responsible and considerate, outward looking and globally aware, confident and well informed, resilient, reflective and willing to challenge themselves and others.
We have the very highest academic expectations for every child in our care and our results in public examinations are testament to the success of this approach. We tailor the curriculum to the needs of each cohort so that they can pursue their passions be that by introducing Astronomy, Ancient History or Textiles to the GCSE options list or by developing the offer in our unique Passport co-curricular programme. It is here that every child has the chance to experience a range of opportunities to succeed and indeed excel whether their interests are practical, creative, performing or sporting.
Our class sizes are small enough to individualise our approach, being up to twenty across the school, but large enough to ensure a good social and academic mix. As a non-selective school, we cater for children with a range of ability and are able to stretch and support in equal measure thereby ensuring the best possible outcomes for each child.
