The admissions process is simple and transparent and outlined in brief below. You will be guided every step of the way by our friendly Admissions Manager, Mrs Holly Dawson.
We do not have a catchment area and we welcome children of mixed abilities and many talents. Children are welcome to join us at any time during the school year and into any year group, subject to a place being available.
Please do not hesitate to contact Holly on 01329 666017 or complete the online enquiry form and we shall be in touch. We look forward to hearing from you.
Visit us for a guided tour of the school and to meet the Headmistress.
Register your child
Please complete our online registration form. This will take approximately 20 minutes, though you can start it, save it and return to it later.
You will need to first create an account and can do this by clicking here. This is a one-time account set-up and takes a few moments. Shortly after, you will receive an email confirmation with a link to set your password. Once this is complete, you can log-in and register your child/ren at a time to suit you.
You can click here to return to your account at any time.
When you register you will be asked to pay a non-refundable registration fee of £150. Payment can be made online by Bacs transfer, over the phone or by cheque made payable to Meoncross School. Holly is on hand to help you through every stage of the registration process.
External candidates applying for a Year 7 place are invited to join us for an experience day, when they will take part in lessons and activities in the Upper School.
All Year 7 and Year 9 external candidates must attend our assessment day and sit our entrance papers.
Applications to Years 8 and 10, and all mid-year applications to the Upper School require candidates to attend two taster days and to sit our entrance papers.
Candidates applying to join Year 9 who have attended the assessment day are invited to attend a taster day.
Receive an offer
For Year 7 and 9 offer letters are dispatched by post within two weeks of the assessment day. For Years 8, 9 and 10 and mid-year admissions, parents are invited to a post assessment meeting when a verbal offer of a place may be made.
To accept your child’s place, please return the signed contract, relevant paperwork, and refundable deposit at least 48 hours prior to their start date.
To aid their smooth transfer to Meoncross, Year 7 joiners are invited to attend an induction day. Joiners into Years 8, 9 and 10 are invited to join their year group for the day.
