Welcome to Meoncross School

A child's educational journey should be as unique as they are. We pride ourselves on our holistic approach whereby every child has the individual attention they need to thrive and succeed both in and out of the classroom. At Meoncross, every child is safe to say ‘I can be the best possible ME’.

We are very proud to be a through school for children aged 2.5 - 16 years, meaning we can welcome children into our school at any point in their educational journey. This could be at a natural key stage transition point such as starting 'big school' in Reception, Juniors in Year 3, or Upper School in Year 7, or anything in between.

Academic achievement is high, but so is our focus on wellbeing, as we know that happy children are high achieving children. We nurture our pupils and develop the characteristics and qualities we know they will need to build bright futures.

Excellent Academics

We were ranked 21st nationally in Times Parent Power Guide in 2025, and we have a proven track record of achieving excellence when it comes to academic results. Our pupils routinely achieve results well above the national average, from our Early Years to key Primary stages and GCSE results.

Holistic Approach

Emotional intelligence is just as important as academic achievement and we want our pupils to be confident, compassionate and capable young people. We believe it’s crucial to develop a child’s character through teaching transferable skills that will help them to thrive in the future.

We Are Meoncross

We have a strong family ethos, and instil a sense of great pride in our school community. We look after, support and encourage each other to always be our best.

A place to belong...

At Meoncross, we often talk about the right school being “a feeling”, and in our school film we wanted to convey what a special and unique feeling there is at our school.

We hope you enjoy watching our film, and we look forward to welcoming you to experience Meoncross in person if you would like to find out more.

“Family is our central value and that means we are accepting, that we are kind to each other, we seek to understand and appreciate each other.”

Meoncross Alumni Success 🌟

It is always lovely to hear from our Meoncross Alumni, and we have recently heard from many of our Alumni who have just completed A-Levels.

One Alumni we have heard from is is Logan, who has just completed A-Levels in English, Geography, and Maths at Barton Peveril College. He reached out to share that he has secured a place at his first-choice university, where he will be pursuing a degree in Geography. A huge well done Logan! 🥳

💬Reflecting on his time at Meoncross, Logan said:
“During my time at Meoncross, I found the teachers really encouraging and enthusiastic. They helped me to develop a strong interest in Geography, English and Maths, and I enjoyed studying these subjects at A-level. I’m looking forward to studying Geography in more depth at Southampton University. I look back fondly on my time at Meoncross and would like to thank the teachers for inspiring my future studies.”

‼ Any other Alumni, however long ago you left, we would love to hear your greatness in life beyond Meoncross. ‼

We are honoured to announce we have been awarded the ProVeg Silver Award! 💚 @proveg.uk

This award is a testament to the passion, dedication, and creativity of Chef Debbie, Chef Sarah and the outstanding Kitchen @ Meoncross team. Every day, they go above and beyond to provide our pupils and staff with meals that are fresh, healthy and delicious. 🍽🥗🥖

Their commitment to wellbeing and environmental responsibility is clear. From incorporating ingredients from our very own school herb garden to championing plant-based options 🍅🥔, their work is helping to shape a healthier, greener future for our children.

At Meoncross, our school menu is designed to encourage children to enjoy a wide variety of balanced meals. Themed food days add an extra element of fun, offering pupils exciting opportunities to discover different cuisines.

We are incredibly fortunate to have such a dedicated and talented catering team. This award is a well-deserved recognition of their hard work, and we couldn’t be prouder as the only Cognita School with this recognition. 💙

Taster Pots After School! ✨🍽

Next Wednesday, our amazing Kitchen Team will be preparing some delicious lunch options for parents to sample and provide feedback on.

Chef Debbie and her team are passionate about serving healthy, nutritious meals that help keep our pupils focused and happy throughout the day. We know that this is important to parents, so we’re excited to offer this taster session, giving you the chance to try (and have a say about) the meals your children are eating.

Come along, taste the goodness, and help us create the perfect menu for our pupils!
It is a lovely family orientated school. The children are encouraged to develop well rounded academic and social skills to enable them to be successful in their future lives.

Meet our Head

I hope it will be clear to you how important our values are to us as a community; we genuinely strive to live by them seeing ourselves as a family where optimism and kindness stand shoulder to shoulder with opportunities and high academic achievement.

Just like any family, we know that every child has their strengths and their struggles, and we encourage and support them all, whilst genuinely appreciating and understanding the individuals they are.

Only by getting this mix right, can we hope to ensure that all our pupils leave Meoncross ready to flourish in this constantly evolving world of ours.
