Welcome to Meoncross School
A child's educational journey should be as unique as they are. We pride ourselves on our holistic approach whereby every child has the individual attention they need to thrive and succeed both in and out of the classroom. At Meoncross, every child is safe to say ‘I can be the best possible ME’.
We are very proud to be a through school for children aged 2.5 - 16 years, meaning we can welcome children into our school at any point in their educational journey. This could be at a natural key stage transition point such as starting 'big school' in Reception, Juniors in Year 3, or Upper School in Year 7, or anything in between.
Academic achievement is high, but so is our focus on wellbeing, as we know that happy children are high achieving children. We nurture our pupils and develop the characteristics and qualities we know they will need to build bright futures.
Excellent Academics
We were ranked 21st nationally in Times Parent Power Guide in 2025, and we have a proven track record of achieving excellence when it comes to academic results. Our pupils routinely achieve results well above the national average, from our Early Years to key Primary stages and GCSE results.
Holistic Approach
Emotional intelligence is just as important as academic achievement and we want our pupils to be confident, compassionate and capable young people. We believe it’s crucial to develop a child’s character through teaching transferable skills that will help them to thrive in the future.
We Are Meoncross
We have a strong family ethos, and instil a sense of great pride in our school community. We look after, support and encourage each other to always be our best.
At Meoncross, we often talk about the right school being “a feeling”, and in our school film we wanted to convey what a special and unique feeling there is at our school.
We hope you enjoy watching our film, and we look forward to welcoming you to experience Meoncross in person if you would like to find out more.
“Family is our central value and that means we are accepting, that we are kind to each other, we seek to understand and appreciate each other.”

Last month Reception had a wonderful visit to Stubbington Library! 📚
The children were captivated as they listened to stories and deepened their love for books and reading. They also took part in a fun scavenger hunt and even created their very own bookmarks!
A big thank you to Stubbington Library for such a fantastic experience! 💛
Speech Night, as the name suggests, always features some truly wonderful speeches! 🎉🎙️
Mrs Ebery delivered a fantastic welcome, supported by Darcey, Charlotte, Denys, and Bobby, who spoke about the values of Meoncross and the incredible experiences pupils enjoy 💙
To close the night, our Assistant Head Pupils, Emily and Owen, gave a heartfelt thank-you speech 👏💬
Public speaking on stage and in front of such a large audience can be daunting to many, but our pupils rose to the challenge with confidence and they were an absolute joy to listen to! 🤩🙌 Well done everyone

On Friday, Mrs Ebery attended the Lee on the Solent Tennis, Squash and Fitness Club to watch a tournament! A huge well done to everyone involved!

At Speech Night we celebrated the success of our pupils, past and present, and welcomed back our Year 11 Class of 2025 to mark their achievements alongside friends, families and staff ✨
During the evening, pupils were recognised for their hard work and determination as they received their GCSE certificates and awards, presented by Mrs Ebery and our keynote speaker, James Benson-King aka @bikingvikingrides
James is an adventurer, endurance cyclist, and inspirational speaker. Among his many incredible journeys, he cycled 32,000 km from Alaska to Argentina, and it was truly inspiring to hear him share his story. 🗺️💡
Alongside celebrating our Alumni, we also recognised the achievements of our current Meoncross pupils and enjoyed performances from many talented pupils. More coming soon...📸
For now, a massive thank you to James, and another huge congratulations to our Class of 2025. Please keep us updated on your journeys beyond Meoncross. We wonder, did James inspire any of you to one day cycle across the world? 🚴♂️🌍

Meet our Head
I hope it will be clear to you how important our values are to us as a community; we genuinely strive to live by them seeing ourselves as a family where optimism and kindness stand shoulder to shoulder with opportunities and high academic achievement.
Just like any family, we know that every child has their strengths and their struggles, and we encourage and support them all, whilst genuinely appreciating and understanding the individuals they are.
Only by getting this mix right, can we hope to ensure that all our pupils leave Meoncross ready to flourish in this constantly evolving world of ours.
