Welcome to Meoncross School
A child's educational journey should be as unique as they are. We pride ourselves on our holistic approach whereby every child has the individual attention they need to thrive and succeed both in and out of the classroom. At Meoncross, every child is safe to say ‘I can be the best possible ME’.
We are very proud to be a through school for children aged 2.5 - 16 years, meaning we can welcome children into our school at any point in their educational journey. This could be at a natural key stage transition point such as starting 'big school' in Reception, Juniors in Year 3, or Upper School in Year 7, or anything in between.
Academic achievement is high, but so is our focus on wellbeing, as we know that happy children are high achieving children. We nurture our pupils and develop the characteristics and qualities we know they will need to build bright futures.
Excellent Academics
We were ranked 21st nationally in Times Parent Power Guide in 2025, and we have a proven track record of achieving excellence when it comes to academic results. Our pupils routinely achieve results well above the national average, from our Early Years to key Primary stages and GCSE results.
Holistic Approach
Emotional intelligence is just as important as academic achievement and we want our pupils to be confident, compassionate and capable young people. We believe it’s crucial to develop a child’s character through teaching transferable skills that will help them to thrive in the future.
We Are Meoncross
We have a strong family ethos, and instil a sense of great pride in our school community. We look after, support and encourage each other to always be our best.
At Meoncross, we often talk about the right school being “a feeling”, and in our school film we wanted to convey what a special and unique feeling there is at our school.
We hope you enjoy watching our film, and we look forward to welcoming you to experience Meoncross in person if you would like to find out more.
“Family is our central value and that means we are accepting, that we are kind to each other, we seek to understand and appreciate each other.”

✨ Year 4 Residential at the Sustainability Centre ✨
What an incredible experience our Year 4 pupils had during their two-night stay at the Sustainability Centre! Over the course of this special trip, we spent quality time connecting with nature, creating beautiful natural mandalas, and challenging ourselves with orienteering adventures. 🌿
We also learned about the importance of water conservation, sang and danced our hearts out, and, most importantly, shared so many laughs and memories with friends. It truly felt like one big extended family coming together to explore, learn, and have fun.
A huge thank you to everyone who made this unforgettable journey possible — here’s to more adventures and growing together! 💚🌍

Meoncross and @kingscourtsch Visit the Beach! 🏖
Just before half-term, our Early Years and Year 2 children had wonderful sessions at the beach with Kingscourt. It`s a real joy to share our Beach School with them, just as they`ve shared their Forest School with us.
Year 2 enjoyed a variety of fun and educational challenges, including colour matching, a scavenger hunt, and a beach-themed fractions task to link with their maths work.
We were lucky with the weather, blue skies, gentle waves, and the tide out, perfect for exploring. The children had plenty of time to play in the sand and search for seaside treasures. It was a lovely afternoon full of smiles, teamwork, and discovery.

We’re delighted to now offer lessons in recorder, flute, clarinet, and saxophone—get in touch to find out more!

It’s been a packed half-term in the Design & Technology department at Meoncross! 🎨🛠️ From Roman catapults in Year 3 to robot-inspired nutcrackers in Year 10, pupils have embraced creativity, problem-solving, and hands-on learning across the board.
⭐ Year 3 brought their history topic to life with working Roman onager catapults, developing teamwork and practical skills.
⭐ Year 7 explored biomimicry, using CAD and laser cutting to design bold, bug-inspired slot-together creatures. 🐞
⭐ Year 8 went galactic, creating Star Wars spin-off characters and spacecraft, starting in Google SketchUp. 🚀
⭐ Year 9 crafted glowing Kumiko-style lanterns, blending traditional woodworking with modern CAD/CAM and circuitry. 💡
⭐ Year 10 designed robot-themed nutcrackers using screw mechanisms, combining sketching, 3D CAD, and advanced timber work. 🤖
From laser-cut bugs to custom spacecraft, pupils have shown incredible creativity and technical skill. Their projects are not just functional — they’re full of innovation, individuality, and pride. 👏
