A child's educational journey should be as unique as they are. We pride ourselves on our holistic approach whereby every child has the individual attention they need to thrive and succeed both in and out of the classroom. At Meoncross, every child is safe to say ‘I can be the best possible ME’.
We are very proud to be a through school for children aged 2.5 - 16 years, meaning we can welcome children into our school at any point in their educational journey. This could be at a natural key stage transition point such as starting 'big school' in Reception, Juniors in Year 3, or Upper School in Year 7, or anything in between.
Academic achievement is high, but so is our focus on wellbeing, as we know that happy children are high achieving children. We nurture our pupils and develop the characteristics and qualities we know they will need to build bright futures.

We were ranked 21st nationally in Times Parent Power Guide in 2025, and we have a proven track record of achieving excellence when it comes to academic results. Our pupils routinely achieve results well above the national average, from our Early Years to key Primary stages and GCSE results.
Holistic Approach
Emotional intelligence is just as important as academic achievement and we want our pupils to be confident, compassionate and capable young people. We believe it’s crucial to develop a child’s character through teaching transferable skills that will help them to thrive in the future.

Meoncross School was ranked 21st in The Times Parent Power Schools Guide for 2025. We are incredibly proud of this achievement and to have had the exceptional work of our pupils and staff recognised in such a prestigious publication.
We have placed 21st in the ‘Top independent secondary schools with no sixth forms’ category. The Guide is compiled based on examination results.

Mrs Ebery was thrilled to welcome pupils to the Upper School Excellence Awards to celebrate their outstanding work.
🌟 Jaina – For achieving 100% in her most recent DT assessment! She has also been awarded a golden ticket which will allow her to carry out an exciting practical experience outside of lessons.
🌟 Flo - For a very positive start to Year 7 RS - well done!
🌟 Emily - For brilliant knowledge and practical skills shown in DT over the past few weeks during the Circuits topic. She has also been a fantastic support to her peers, consistently exceeds expectations, and is an absolute joy to teach.
🌟 Max - For excellent effort and perseverance in Computing so far this year!
🌟 Annie - For working super hard in English and making a special effort to write more within lesson time.

Last week, KS1 delivered a heartfelt and beautiful Advent Assembly. Their thoughtful readings and lovely singing captivated everyone, and truly marked the beginning of the Advent season.
During the assembly, the children shared the significance of the Christingle, explaining its deep meaning during this special time of year. They also enjoyed crafting their own Christingles, adding a personal and creative touch to the celebration. ☺️
It was a wonderful event that brought together families and friends to reflect, connect, and celebrate this meaningful season.

🌟🌊 Meet Michelle – Our Wraparound and Holiday Club Manager!
Michelle has been part of the Meoncross community since 2021, initially managing our previous out-of-house Wraparound service. In April 2025, she officially joined the Meoncross staff to lead our in-house Wraparound Care, Little Lagooners🎒✨
A qualified early years educator, Michelle is passionate about supporting children with additional needs and recently completed a qualification in understanding and supporting autism. She is dedicated to helping every child learn, grow, and thrive through play and a wide range of enriching experiences. 🌈🤝
Before joining Meoncross, Michelle worked in nurseries caring for children aged 6 months to 5 years. Earlier in her career, she spent 20 years in the hairdressing industry, where she later went on to teach hairdressing!
Outside of work, Michelle loves cooking, arts & crafts, travelling, and enjoying quality time with her family ❤️

Everyone had an unforgettable time at our Beach at Night session last week! 🌊🌙
It was a truly magical evening, starting with a fun scavenger hunt, followed by a walk along the beach as the sun set 🌅. There was also a chance for free play on the sand because the tide was out. The night ended with everyone together for stories and hot chocolate, wrapped up warm for the perfect end.
For over a decade, Beach School has been a much-loved part of the Meoncross experience, and sessions like this are always a joy 💙✨

I hope it will be clear to you how important our values are to us as a community; we genuinely strive to live by them seeing ourselves as a family where optimism and kindness stand shoulder to shoulder with opportunities and high academic achievement.
Just like any family, we know that every child has their strengths and their struggles, and we encourage and support them all, whilst genuinely appreciating and understanding the individuals they are.
