Welcome to Meoncross School

A child's educational journey should be as unique as they are. We pride ourselves on our holistic approach whereby every child has the individual attention they need to thrive and succeed both in and out of the classroom. At Meoncross, every child is safe to say ‘I can be the best possible ME’.

We are very proud to be a through school for children aged 2.5 - 16 years, meaning we can welcome children into our school at any point in their educational journey. This could be at a natural key stage transition point such as starting 'big school' in Reception, Juniors in Year 3, or Upper School in Year 7, or anything in between.

Academic achievement is high, but so is our focus on wellbeing, as we know that happy children are high achieving children. We nurture our pupils and develop the characteristics and qualities we know they will need to build bright futures.

Excellent Academics

We were ranked 10th nationally in Times Parent Power Guide in 2023, and we have a proven track record of achieving excellence when it comes to academic results. Our pupils routinely achieve results well above the national average, from our Early Years to key Primary stages and GCSE results.

Holistic Approach

Emotional intelligence is just as important as academic achievement and we want our pupils to be confident, compassionate and capable young people. We believe it’s crucial to develop a child’s character through teaching transferable skills that will help them to thrive in the future.

We Are Meoncross

We have a strong family ethos, and instil a sense of great pride in our school community. We look after, support and encourage each other to always be our best.

The best school for me...

At Meoncross, we often talk about the right school being “a feeling”, and in our school film we wanted to convey what a special and unique feeling there is at our school.

We hope you enjoy watching our film, and we look forward to welcoming you to experience Meoncross in person if you would like to find out more.

“Family is our central value and that means we are accepting, that we are kind to each other, we seek to understand and appreciate each other.”

The Times Parent Power Schools Guide 2023

Meoncross School was ranked 10th in The Times Parent Power Schools Guide in 2023. We are incredibly proud of this achievement and to have had the exceptional work of our pupils and staff recognised in such a prestigious publication.

We were placed 10th in the ‘Top fee paying schools with no sixth form’ category. Only the top 1,600 schools across the country feature in the guide, which was compiled based on examination results - a huge accolade for us at Meoncross.

Well done to all the Year 6 pupils who completed their @bikeabilityuk training 🚴🚴‍♀️

Pupils gained practical skills and understanding of how to cycle on today’s roads, and everyone who took part passed their proficiency test enabling them to ride safely on the road.

Year 10 & 11 Paris Trip 🎨✂️

What a fantastic dual-purpose trip for our GCSE French, Art, and Textiles students! This adventure to Paris gave Year 10 and 11 pupils the chance to practise their French in real-life situations and find inspiration for their GCSE projects.

We started with stunning views from Montparnasse Tower 🏙️ and, of course, took plenty of selfies with the Eiffel Tower. Day Two included a serene boat trip on the Seine 🚤 and visits to Notre Dame and the Pompidou centre, where Art students connected with their ‘Buildings’ project and the Textiles students drew inspiration for their ‘Art Nouveau’ work. 🖼️✂️

Our final day at the Louvre was filled with admiration for the Mona Lisa and historical exhibits, perfect for sparking creativity! Pupils also put their French skills to the test while ordering lunch 🥐

A great mix of art, culture, language practice, and new friendships made this trip one to remember!
