Children join Nursery in the term they turn 2 ½, starting in Seahorses and rising to Starfish in the year they turn four. Seahorses attend for three sessions minimum a week, and Starfish for six. From here, children automatically filter into the Infants for Reception.
The main intake point is Reception which children join in the year they turn five. Year 2 is the oldest year group in this department.
Pupils move up to Year 3 when they are rising 7 years old. There are opportunities for 7+ Scholarships and this is a main intake point for external candidates to transfer to Meoncross from other local schools. Children remain in the Junior department until the end of Year 6.
It is expected that Year 6 pupils will transfer into Year 7 in the Upper School, where they join external candidates who have transferred from local schools and have been successful in the Meoncross Entrance Assessments. There are 11+ Scholarship opportunities.
13+ applicants are also considered for entry into Year 9, who transfer from local schools and if they are successful in the Meoncross Entrance Assessments. There are 13+ Scholarship opportunities.
